ChorMedia looking for short film projects

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!

ChorMedia is looking for short film projects to produce as part of a search for new filmmaking talent. We want to hear from filmmakers in the South East region (particularly Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey) that have a short film they would like produced.

All projects must have fully developed scripts (no more than 20 pages long) and have a director attached. Writers and directors must have at least 3 produced short films on their resume. Please do not apply if you do not have these credits.

This is not something for first-timers. We are interested in finding filmmakers that have made short films before and are ready to make one more short before making the transition to feature films. We favour genres such as sci-fi, horror, adventure, thrillers and comedies although exceptional dramas may be considered. Above all we are looking for filmmakers that see themselves working in the more mainstream, commercial sector of feature films and broadcast. We are especially interested to hear from BAME and female filmmakers.

The aim of this scheme is to find new talent that ChorMedia can develop and have a long-term collaboration with.

ChorMedia will raise finance and produce the selected projects so it not essential to have a producer already attached, although we are quite open to working with and mentoring new producers on these shorts.

Please apply via the contact form on this website and provide a 2-3 line synopsis of your project, the names and credits of the writer and director and any other attachments you may already have. A link to a showreel or previous work is also essential. If we like the sound of your project you will be asked to supply a script.
